The labor market data I have been referencing has been provided by the State of California Employment Development Department. Below are the Wages & Job Outlook for Computer Software Developers comparing Napa County and Northern California. I was surprised to see that the wages are about 30% less in Napa than Nor Cal and although the job growth is very strong in Nor Cal for Software Developers, there is practically no growth in Napa County.

The median wage for Software Developers, Applications in Napa County was $92,890 annually, or $44.66 hourly. The median is the point at which half of the workers earn more and half earn less.
