Tech Tip of the Week
Teachers who connected their Lenovo to a large monitor -> Keeping your Lenovo from sleeping after closing the lid.

Many of you have been using desktop computers instead of laptops over the last few years. Those teachers are connecting their large monitors to their new Lenovos so that they can work on a larger screen. The problem is that they are forced to keep the monitor up because if they close the lid the Lenovo goes to sleep.

Solution: Turn off the Sleep Mode
· Open the Search Tool on your Lenovo. Enter “Power Options” and select “Power Options.”
(Note: If you glance at the left navigation bar, you will see a link that says, “ Choose what closing the lid does.” Don’t select it…it doesn’t work.)
· The “Power Options” window will open. Select “Energy Saver” and then click “ Change Plan Settings”

  On Battery Plugged In
Turn Off The Display Never Never
Put the Computer to Sleep Never Never

Now Test it. With the Lenovo connected to your large monitor, close the lid and notice how nothing changes on the large monitor.
