As you resize your window, it automatically jumps to full screen as you near any of the screen edges.
 

Many of you have expressed frustration with the new feature in Windows 8 that maximizes the window any time you try to resize it and you near the top of the display - the window automatically Maximizes and fills the entire display. Below are instructions on how to turn this feature off.

You have two choices when disabling the window maximizing feature:

Either: Or:
  • Select Settings
  • Control Panel
  • Ease of Access Center
  • Select:”Change how your mouse works.”
  • “Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen.”
  • Apply.
  • OK.

    Then,
  • Select “Make the keyboard easier to use.”
  • “Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen.”
  • Apply.
  • OK.
Open the Search Tool
Type:”Ease Of Access Center”
Select: “Make the mouse easier to use”
“Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen.”
Apply.
OK.


Then, click on the back button at the top of that window.
Select “Make the keyboard easier to use.”
“Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen.”
Apply.
OK.
Now Go Back To Your Desktop and Test It!
