Most of you have been transferring your files from your old computer to your new computer. Many of you have told me that you would also like to transfer your Favorites from your old computer (Explorer) to your new Lenovo's Internet Explorer. Below is step-by-step guide showing you how to do it. The transfer is simpler than you think, but if for whatever reason you have difficulty, contact me and I will assist you.

Step 1: Power up your old computer.

Step 2: Slide the flash drive (supplied to you in the Tech Bag) into a USB port.

Step 3: Open Explorer.

Step 4: Go to the Main Menu / File / Import and export
Click on it.

Window #1
"How do you want to import or export your browser settings?
Select: "Export to file."
Click on "Next."

Window #2
"What would you like to export?"
Select "Favorites."
Click on "Next."

Windows #3
"Select the folder that you want to export your favorites from."
You should see a golden folder with the word "Favorites" highlighted in blue. Do nothing...just click on "Next."

Window #4
"Where do you want to export your favorites?"
Click on "Browse". A Window will appear. The goal is to get this "Favorites" file onto the flash drive so that you can transfer it to your new Lenovo. Look at the navigation bar in the far left hand side of the window. Scroll until you seen "Centon". This is your flash drive. Click on it so that it has a blue highlight and then select the "Save" button in the bottom right corner of the window.
You are now back to the window you were looking at at the beginning of this step. Just select the "Export" button.

"You have successfully exported these settings."
Select "Finish."

Step #5 : Remove the flash drive from the old computer and slide it into a USB port on the new computer.

Step #6 : Power up the new Lenovo and log in.

Step #7 : Remove the flash drive from the old computer and slide it into a USB port on the new computer.

Step #8 : Open Explorer on your new Lenovo.

Step #9: Go to the Main Menu / File / Import and Export
Click on it.

Window #1
"How do you want to import or export your browser settings?
Select "Import from a file."
Click on "Next."

Window #2
"What would you like to import?"
Select "Favorites."
Click on "Next."

Window #3
"Where do you want to import your favorites from?"
Click on the "Browse" button. A Window will appear. The goal is to transfer this "Favorites" file from the flash drive to your new Lenovo. Look at the navigation bar in the far left hand side of the window. Scroll until you seen "Centon". This is your flash drive. Click on it. The file, "bookmark" (or it may be titled "favorite" should appear on the screen just to the right of the Centon icon. Select the "bookmark" file.Click on the "Open" button in the bottom right corner of the window.
You are now back to the window you were looking at at the beginning of this step. Just select the "Next" button.

"Select a destination for for your favorites."
You should see a golden folder with the word "Favorites" highlighted in blue. Do nothing...just click on "Import."

Window #5
"You have successfully imported these settings."
Select "Finish."
